PrehKeyTec is a name that stands for excellent quality and many years of experience in the most varied of fields.
Our short history of the company illustrates how all this began almost a century ago.
| 1919 | Founding of the company on 11 March 1919 by Jakob Preh with the company name "Jakob Preh jun." |
| 1924 | Development of the radio receiver "Preh-Funk". |
| 1960 | End of toy production due to limited capacity in radio-television production. |
| 1983 | Reorientation of business on data systems, formation of a subsidiary company in the USA |
| 1993 | Rheinmetall Berlin AG gains majority control of the Preh Company. |
| 2000 | Preh Werke purchases RMP Elektroniksysteme GmbH. |
| 2001 | Concentration on operating systems for automobiles and industry, termination of electromechanical components. |
| 2002 | Foundation of a subsidiary in Paris, France |
| 2003 | Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, Rosemarie Preh GmbH and management acquire the Preh Group. |
| 2004 | Foundation of PrehKeyTec GmbH. |
| 2007 | Moving to new premises Mellrichstadt (Germany). |
| 2011 | Management takes over PrehKeyTec GmbH |
